Reinventing the landscape with this unique dimensional work, layering paint on multiple panes of clear acrylic glass, was all made possible through the deconstruction of an old world tradition on a modern-day material. Combining the layers of classical realism, and an old technique from the 18th century - reverse painting, I found a way to bridge the gap between traditional and modern landscape art.

As a multi-disciplinary artist, I have incorporated physically layering sheets of acrylic, a technique singularly done, in abstract and mixed media painting, as well. Abstract works are also created on canvas and panel. Leaving behind the traditional landscape painting in oil that I had explored for ten years, I find this new, more inventive process to be exhilarating to my creative process taking me further down the rabbit hole in my career evolution.
