New paintings, fresh perspectives, and the joy of collecting original art.
A New Collection of Abstract Paintings
I've been spending time in the studio exploring a new direction in my work, creating colorful abstract paintings using spray paint.
These pieces are an exploration of gesture, balance, and the relationship between color and form. I love the spontaneity of the process and the unexpected compositions that emerge.
Whether displayed individually or as a collection, each painting brings its own energy and personality into a space.
Featured works, left to right:
Set One — 12 × 12 in. | Spray paint on panel
Set Two — 13 × 13 in. | Spray paint on panel
Samurai — 14 × 11 in. | Spray paint on panel
Something to Treasure
As the holiday season approaches, I've been thinking about the meaningful things we choose to bring into our lives and share with others.
Original art has a way of becoming part of our everyday experience. A painting can celebrate a relationship, mark an important occasion, or simply bring us joy each time we walk into a room.
And sometimes, the most meaningful gift is one we choose for ourselves.
Unlike so many things we purchase, original artwork has the potential to become part of our personal history—something to live with, treasure, and perhaps pass along to future generations.
An Invitation to My Gallery
With the holidays approaching, I'm welcoming collectors and friends to visit my home gallery and studio by appointment.
It's a wonderful opportunity to see the new paintings in person, explore other available works, and find something special—whether you're considering a meaningful gift or adding to your own collection.
I'd love to share what I've been creating and help you find a piece that speaks to you.
Wishing you a beautiful start to the holiday season,
Janell James
