From First Layer to Final Detail
I’m excited to share the complete process behind “May the Four Winds Blow You Home Again,” my three-dimensional kinetic painting created for the 45th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale.
This piece was created across five individual panels of acrylic glass. Each layer contributes something different to the finished work, and only when the panels come together does the complete image emerge.
A finished painting holds the history of every decision beneath its surface — the early gestures, shifts in color, unexpected discoveries, and final marks that bring the work fully into being. This short film brings those moments together, following the painting from its very first layer through completion.

“May the Four Winds Blow You Home Again” will be offered during the live auction at the45th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The show is part of Rendezvous Royale, an annual celebration of Western art held at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming. Proceeds from the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale support the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
I’m deeply honored to have this work included alongside such an accomplished group of artists — and I look forward to being in Cody as the painting enters the next chapter of its life.
