Collected Oil Paintings
My oil paintings are the trees of the west captured on film from road trips, camping and hiking adventures. These paintings on canvas and linen are both traditional and contemporary in their representation. Layering and glazing over ten layers of paint, as was the method of classical realist painters, each painting has a rich depth and luminescence bringing it uniquely to life. Weather the pallet is tonal or fauvist in its expression, using bright colors dotting the work or throughout the painting, each painting reveals the influence of tonalism, abstract expressionism, and Fauvism long admired.
